Newark Vintage Tractor and Heritage Show

Another Fantastic Newark.

The Newark Tractor and Heritage Show is an incredible event that showcases a wide variety of tractors, horticultural machinery, static displays, and much more. The show is a great opportunity for people to come together and celebrate the history of farming and agriculture. The stand at the show was truly amazing, with a fantastic display of tractors and other machinery.

One of the highlights of the show was John Plowrights’ tractor which won the award for best unrestored tractor in the show. This is a testament to the care and passion that John has for his tractor, and it is great to see such dedication rewarded.

The success of the stand at the show would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of Derek, Jan, Rich, and Liz, who organised the display. Their efforts made the stand look truly impressive, and it was a great sight to see.

In addition to the tractors and machinery, visitors to the show were also treated to a wonderful 1/76 scale Steam Rally diorama. This was a truly impressive display, and it was great to see such attention to detail in the model. Overall, the Newark Tractor and Heritage Show was a fantastic event, and I would highly recommend it to anyone with an interest in farming and agriculture.

Road Run Success

The annual road run held this year was a resounding success, leaving participants and organisers thrilled. The event kicked off in the charming village of Revesby and meandered along the scenic roads of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Participants were treated to picturesque views as they made their way through the countryside. The highlight of the day was a delightful lunch break at the exquisite South Ormsby Estates, providing a well-deserved respite for everyone involved.

One of the highlights of the event was the diverse range of tractors that took part, making for a colorful spectacle. The participants showcased their passion for these magnificent machines while also raising funds for two deserving causes. The charitable aspect of the road run was a tremendous success, with over £600 raised for the Revesby Church Fund and the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA).

The generosity of all those involved, from the enthusiastic participants to the dedicated organisers, made this event truly special. The funds raised will provide invaluable support to the nominated charities, facilitating their commendable work in the community.

Overall, the annual road run of this year will be remembered as a day filled with camaraderie, breath taking vistas, and a shared commitment to making a positive impact. We extend our gratitude to everyone involved and eagerly look forward to the next edition of this remarkable event.
